Welcome to Mrs. Shahood's

4th Grade Web Page!

   Week of 5/14 Announcements:

VERY IMPORTANT SCHEDULE CHANGE: Due to a conflict at Notre Dame Health Care Center, we have had to reschedule our St. Julie Day. It is now on May 15th at 10:30 a.m. in the gym. We would love for you to join us. If you would like to help with the situating of the prayer partners, please feel free to join us around 10:00. Thank you!

Yellow and Brown Day: In honor of St. Julie, students can wear yellow and brown on St. Julie Day (May 15th) for $1.00.

The theme for Jog-A-Thon this year is "Making a Difference...One Step at a Time." All money that is earned makes a difference in your child's education. This money is used to enhance your child's education (laptops, science lab materials, Nooks in the classroom, etc... )

We will be working to make a difference in our community by asking families to donate canned goods throughout the month. Each Friday the class donations will be weighed to see which class donates the most. The winning class gets 30 minutes of extra recess. Your donations help those in our community who are in need. Summer months are the hardest for food pantries. Let's stock ours up!!! Thank you in advance for your support.

Just a reminder, all Jog-A-Thon paperwork is due by May 16th. Jog-A-Thon is on Friday, May 18th.

It will (hopefully) start to warm up soon. Water bottles are permitted in the classroom, however, if they at any time become a distraction the privilage will be revoked. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

Allergy season has hit the 4th grade hard! We are in need of tissues again...any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you so much!

MISSING- Many of my books from my classroom library have gone missing. I do not mind  lending my books, however, I expect them to be returned. If your child has one (or more) of my books in their personal library, please have them return those books to me. Also, I am very happy to accept donations of any good conditioned used books your family no longer reads. :)

THE THREE BRANCHES OF GOVERNMENT SONG!

Check out the pictures below of our new friend, Chris Bocham. We have been praying for him and made him cards since hearing of his spinal cord injury that occured in July. He came to our class to teach us a very important life lesson. He is an amazing person who God has blessed, and we are blessed to know him and have heard his message.
